What happens when Formula One Superstar Lewis Hamilton collaborates with iconic fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger? A slick street style inspired collection is what! The TommyXLewis Fall 2018 collection is dropping soon and I have picked my favourite pieces from it for you.

The TommyXLewis collection is inspired by Lewis Hamilton’s love of street style, tattoos and his lucky number, 44. One of the cool features of the collection is the initials “LH” in Old English Gothic typeset which is the same font Lewis Hamilton uses for his body art. The collection features edgy street styling in bold colours mixed with more traditional pieces like Parkas, Bomber Jackets and Polo Shirts. More high fashion items like fanny packs and sliders are part of the collection as well.

I am a big fan of Tommy Hilfiger clothing particularly their t-shirts, shirts and jumpers. As a fan of the brand, I was excited to see what the TommyXLewis collection produced and it didn’t disappoint!

MY FAVOURITE PIECES

I like to wear colour and when I first saw this collection I was impressed by the use of it. Brighter colours like red and yellow can be difficult to include in outfits. A lot of guys are not confident enough to incorporate a “colour pop” into their daily wardrobe. The TommyXLewis collection provides great inspiration for including colours in outfits. The collection also focuses on layering clothes for added warmth when the weather takes a turn. Winter is coming after all!

Lewis Hamilton Varsity Bomber

Red and black is an awesome colour combination so if you are ever stuck for a colour combo these two are it. I love this look modelled by Lewis Hamilton for the TommyXLewis collection. The use of black as the main colour is an inspired choice. The baseball style jacket with contrast red sleeves featuring “LH” in Gothic writing is certainly going to be popular with shoppers. I need a pair of the red boots too! Fanny packs are incredibly popular at the moment and this red and white one is definitely going to sell out!

Lewis Hamilton Double Denim

Baseball caps look great as part of street style looks and I like the way it is styled in this outfit. Double denim can be a difficult look to master. Lewis Hamilton wears it well as part of the TommyXLewis collection combining different shades of blue denim with a black hoodie and baseball cap. The red high tops give the look a great pop of colour.

Lewis Hamilton Logo Bomber Jacket

This dark green bomber jacket looks fantastic. Green remains a popular Fall colour for men and this bomber is going to be a popular piece. I love the red trim on the cuffs and at the end of the jacket, they give it a retro sports vibe. The use of layering is intelligently used here as well with a red hoodie/jacket giving the outfit a major colour pop. The red hiking boots finish the look. A solid street style outfit for most men!

Lewis Hamilton Utility Parka

Parkas are your go-to outerwear when the weather is diabolical. They are warm, functional and stylish. This one from the TommyXLewis collection looks like great quality. The outfit is styled really well with all black being the anchor colour for the look. I love the black LH Flag sweatshirt as well! One of my favourite pieces from the collection, the red hiking boots make another appearance here to finish off the outfit.

Lewis Hamiton Varsity Sweatshirt

Keeping with the preppy heritage of Tommy Hilfiger this varsity sweatshirt featuring the LH logo with the Hilfiger flag is a really nice piece. As we have seen throughout the TommyXLewis collection funky layering plays a critical role in the styling of it. A hooded plaid shirt is layered underneath emphasising Lewis Hamilton’s love of street style.

Lewis Hamilton Logo Flag T-Shirt

A basic white oversized t-shirt is a piece every street style look needs. My only criticism of this t-shirt is the flag doesn’t have a border around it. It still looks good and I really like the LH logo as well. I love wearing accessories and I’m definitely going to ‘borrow’ the bandana wrapped around wrist idea, thanks, Lewis! This is a simple yet stylish look which will appeal to everyone I think. Who doesn’t want these trainers?

Lewis Hamilton Logo Polo

The TommyXLewis collection features a lot of luxury street style inspired looks. It is nice to see the humble polo included in it. This red polo will be a popular piece with most fashion fans. A really versatile piece. The styling is top notch once again using track pants and sliders.

Lewis Hamilton Striped Tracksuit

This is an eye-catching look! I like the style but I’m not so sure I could pull it off. Lewis Hamilton looks great though! I think it is a great outfit especially with the sliders which are a huge trend at the moment. I love the retro vibes going on this look!

Lewis Hamilton Plaid Hoodie Shirt

I like wearing yellow especially when it is combined with black. This Plaid Hoodie Shirt from the TommyXLewis collection is a striking piece featuring contrast check sleeves. I love the track pants as well. Black boots with yellow laces finish this look off nicely.
