BOOHOO MAN #boohooxmas16 event
BOOHOO MAN PRESS EVENT
First of all, special thanks to Leah from Burrell PR for inviting me to this event. I greatly appreciate it!
boohoo held their boohoo xmas16 event as part of the Dublin Fashion Festival and Fashionable Frank went along to see what we will be wearing in the next few months! Fasten your seat belts folks!
I thoroughly enjoyed this event. It had everything! Great music, fantastic finger food or canapés for the more cultured readers and of course FASHION. Oh yeah, they had a GIANT MIRROR which took your PICTURE and allowed you to WRITE ON IT! – how freaking cool is that!!! Very, in case you are wondering! Heres my mug shot – perhaps I should apply for Hollywood’s next incarnation of The Joker! Frank not looking so Fashionable in this one.
After regaining my composure, my friend Ian Megrath (Rouges & Brogues) took this great snap of me! Thanks Ian! You can view the wonderfully written Rogues & Brogues blog here
boohoo MAN Christmas Press Event!
And now its on to the main event but first for those of you who don’t know the Boohoo Brand heres a brief history lesson!
“From Manchester’s best kept fashion secret to one of the fastest growing international etailers, boohoo.com has quickly evolved into a global fashion leader of its generation.
Combining cutting-edge design with an affordable price tag, we’ve been pushing boundaries for the past eight years to bring you all the latest looks for less.
Our philosophy is pretty simple: we don’t take fashion or life too seriously. Whether you like to keep one step ahead of the trends, or if subtle style is more your thing, we’re sure we’ve got something you’ll love. And with up to 100 pieces hitting site every day and a new collection each week, we never stop – it’s 24/7 fashion at its best.”
Whether they are Man United or Man City I’m not sure. I shall remain impartial here (RED)!
There was some fantastic fashion – forward pieces on display at this event. Neutrals are a big trend for A/W 16 and boohoo MAN have you covered here. On the left we have the white denim jacket – this so wicked – I love it! Contrast black buttons make it more desirable too! On the right we have a Typical boohoo MAN piece, this funky take on the blazer – collarless but still oozing cool!
With the Bomber Jacket fascination showing no signs of slowing down boohoo provide inspirational and interesting pieces. On the left we have a Bomber Jacket with military detailing. This hits two trends at once! On the right, one of my favourites from the event – the textured Bomber Jacket! I love the design on this. Black is a classy colour as we know — this Bomber would be a wise investment! It will go with absolutely everything – my white skinny jeans want this Bomber!
boohoo provide a unique take on short sleeve in A/W 16 as well. The denim t-shirt on the left is really funky! On the right we have a knitted t-shirt with a contrast collar. Knit t-shirts and polos are going to assault your senses in A/W!
An example of the colour palettes. A/W is all about neutrals with a splash of colour in the form of navy and black.
Here is some mannequin inspiration. These guys are more dapper (from the boohoo NIGHT collection) and are perfect for those Autumn/Winter Saturday nights out – after the X-Factor of course :-p
The boohoo font is so cool!
This was a very slick event in my opinion. It was such a pleasure to have been invited! A Bloggers dream! Boohoo are chipping away at the traditional High Street Powerhouses like River Island, Topman, Bershka and Pull&Bear market share. Visit boohoo.com for more fashion inspiration and style suggestions – you will be impressed!
I hope you enjoyed this post!
